Aster House is my villa in Sliema, 150 metres (a 2 minute walk) from the Sliema seafront. Close enough that the sea is part of the daily routine, far enough that the villa stays quiet at night. Lovingly restored over three years from a 1920s British Military family home, sleeping up to 9 across three super king ensuite bedrooms.

Walking distance to the promenade and beyond
The Sliema promenade is one of the great walking routes in Malta. It runs along the seafront with restaurants, cafés and bars the whole way, and from Aster House you step onto it in 2 minutes. Most guests find that they walk most days, swim some, and end up not bothering with a car at all.
Best swim spots a few minutes away
Sliema has multiple swimming spots within a 5 to 10 minute walk of the villa. Exiles is the closest, the rocks at Fond Ghadir are flatter and easier for families with kids, and the Tigne side has calmer water for morning swims. Towels, beach toys and chairs are at the villa for everyone.
Sea-facing rooftop tub for the evenings
The rooftop chillout area has the 1930s outdoor tub that came with the building, restored as part of the project. It is where most guests end up in the evenings, with the lights of Sliema and the sea behind. The dining terrace with the gas BBQ is on the same level for slow dinners under the stars.
