Sliema is where Maltese families spend their summer evenings, where the best gelaterias compete on the same stretch of promenade, and where the ferries cross to Valletta in about ten minutes. Aster House sits a short walk from all of it, on a quiet residential street that stays calm at night.

I’m Susan, the founder of Espais Roca and the person behind Aster House. I lovingly restored the villa over three years, designing every room myself. Is Aster House a hotel or a self-catering rental?
Neither, properly. It is the whole villa for exclusive use by your group, hosted personally by Susan. Closer to a private home stay than a hotel, with the comforts of a luxury hotel.
Is breakfast included?
No, the villa is self-catering. The kitchen is family-equipped and the seafront is full of cafés if you prefer to walk out for breakfast. I can recommend the local favourites.
What is included in the nightly rate?
Exclusive use of the whole villa, cleaning on departure, luxury linens, towels and beach chairs, fast internet, air conditioning, underfloor heating and a refundable security deposit held separately.
How do we get the keys?
I meet most guests on arrival to walk through the villa personally. Self-check-in via a personal door code is also available if you are arriving late or off-schedule.
